Wang Yingzhe is the chief architect at the Urban Design Research Center of DC Alliance, principal of “DC Academy”, and member of the Swiss Society of Engineers and Architects (SIA).
He actively participates in teaching and academia and was a guest critic at the class of Tongji University and a thesis defense committee member at Southeast University. He has published multiple papers on architectural and urban design in various professional journals and co-authored the book ‘Painting with Building’ published by Tongji University Press. He is also a part-time editor of Time + Architecture – a major architecture magazine in China.
Wang Yingzhe graduated from Einstein’s alma mater, ETH Zurich in Switzerland, an important academic hub in Europe. His working experience in Europe and his participation in numerous projects, designs and theories, have enabled him to reflect on contemporary Chinese architecture and urban practice from a cross-cultural perspective. The focus of his recent research and practice is city branding and the creation of “genius loci”.
