Samantha Aliferov is a New York City based Creative Director, designer, artist, and illustrator whose practice spans strategy, culture, and visual storytelling.
She is Creative Director at Primary Wave Music, one of the world’s leading independent music companies, representing and growing the legacies of some of the most influential artists in history, including Bob Marley, Whitney Houston, Prince, Stevie Nicks, James Brown, The Notorious B.I.G., Britney Spears, Talking Heads, The Doors, Outkast, Donna Summer, Luther Vandross, Black Sabbath, America, and more. Her work spans brand identity, campaigns, film, digital and physical experiences, environments, merchandise, and cultural storytelling across its portfolio of legendary artists, estates, and entertainment properties.
Previously, Samantha was Creative Director at Starfish Agency, where she led branding and advertising for clients across real estate, luxury, fashion, healthcare, media, and technology. Her personal client portfolio includes Alexander Wang, Gallup, ADL, Vornado, RFR, JLL, Profound, Everlane, Cosmopolitan Magazine, Bottega Veneta, Orolay, Sapporo Beer, NYC Health, Navigant, Atlas Air, Baron Capital, Hologic, Pamela Roland, Nabr, and more. Her work includes transformative 360 brand identities that impact not only logo design but the entire ethos of the brand experience for Primary Wave Music, The Seagram Building, Bob Marley’s Hope Road Vegas Experience, ADL, Starfish Agency, Covista, Orolay, 460 Park Avenue, Moynihan Food Hall, and the conception and creation of the Restaurant The B100m and bar Shade in Miami.
Her work has been recognized by American Illustration, The Society of Illustrators, Graphis, Instagram, the ADDY Awards, and the Transform Awards, where she was named Young Creative Director of the Year in 2023.
Alongside her commercial practice, Samantha runs SamLife, an independent creative studio producing commissioned paintings, sculptures, illustrations, and select identity projects for private collectors, authors, entrepreneurs, and residential spaces. She graduated with honors from Pratt Institute with a degree in Communications Design and a minor in Art History, and studied Creative Writing at the University of Pennsylvania.
