The project is a fifty year old inter-terrace house in the city-state of Singapore. A complete revamp and remodeling of the two-storey house was done, complete with an extension of the rear part of the house and a new breath of rustic charm. Elements of bricks, wood, cement in different forms and textures run throughout the whole house, providing a rustic base tone to the whole dwelling.
An airwell is created in the centre of the house to allow natural light to illuminate the living spaces. The cosy area outside the bedroom on the second storey is where the family chill out. A mini-library library positioned also at the second storey is found at the foot of a reading loft which is accessible via a flight of steps.
