Loungewear consists of comfortable and relaxed clothing designed for leisure and casual wear at home. It includes cozy separates like sweatshirts, joggers, robes, and pajama sets, prioritizing comfort without compromising style.

This category encompasses clothing and accessories designed for sleep, undergarments, and intimate apparel. It includes sleepwear, underwear, lingerie, and hosiery, focusing on comfort, fit, and style for different occasions.
Uniform fashion refers to clothing designed as standardized attire for a specific profession, organization, or group. These designs prioritize functionality, identity, and cohesion, ensuring a consistent and recognizable look.
Wedding fashion includes bridal gowns, bridesmaid dresses, groomswear, and wedding guest attire. It encompasses designs that embody elegance, romance, and personal style, creating memorable looks for the special occasion.
Boots encompass a variety of footwear styles that cover the foot and extend up the leg. They are designed for various purposes, including fashion, protection, and functionality, featuring different heights, materials, and constructions.

Footwear Innovation category focuses on designs that introduce novel concepts, materials, technologies, or construction techniques in the field of footwear. It highlights groundbreaking advancements that enhance performance, comfort, sustainability, or aesthetics.
- Innovative Children's Footwear
Innovative Children's Footwear refers to footwear designs specifically created for children, incorporating unique features, materials, or technologies that prioritize comfort, support, and safety for growing feet.
- Natural Material/ Vegan Footwear
Natural Material/Vegan Footwear category showcases footwear designs made from natural and sustainable materials or alternatives to animal-derived materials. It emphasizes eco-friendly practices and ethical choices in footwear production.
- Recycled Materials
Recycled Materials category highlights footwear designs that incorporate recycled or upcycled materials, reducing waste and promoting sustainability. It encourages the use of innovative recycling techniques and environmentally friendly materials in footwear production.
- Sandals and slippers

- Special Purpose Shoes
Special Purpose Shoes refer to footwear designed for specific activities or occupations. Examples include hiking boots, safety shoes, dance shoes, and medical footwear, catering to unique needs such as protection, performance, or medical requirements.
- Sports Performance Footwear
Sports Performance Footwear focuses on footwear designed for athletic activities, such as running, basketball, soccer, or tennis. These designs prioritize features like cushioning, support, stability, and traction to enhance performance and reduce the risk of injuries.
- New technology fabrics
The New Technology Fabrics category focuses on innovative textiles created through cutting-edge technologies and advancements. These fabrics may incorporate features such as smart materials, performance enhancements, sustainable production methods, or unique properties that enhance comfort, functionality, and aesthetics.
- Textile/print design
The Textile/Print Design category highlights the art and craft of creating original patterns, motifs, and designs for textiles. It encompasses a wide range of techniques, including digital printing, screen printing, block printing, and more. Textile/Print Design emphasizes creativity, visual appeal, and the ability to enhance and complement fashion and interior design projects.
The Bags category encompasses a wide range of accessories designed for carrying personal belongings. It includes handbags, backpacks, clutches, totes, and other styles that combine functionality and style, providing storage solutions for everyday use or special occasions.
- Accessories (eyewear, watches, gloves, hat, belts, scarves, ties)
The Accessories category includes a variety of fashion items that add finishing touches to an outfit. It encompasses eyewear (sunglasses, prescription glasses), watches, gloves, hats, belts, scarves, and ties. These accessories contribute to personal style, provide functionality, and enhance the overall aesthetic.
The Jewellery category showcases wearable decorative pieces crafted from precious or semi-precious materials. It includes necklaces, bracelets, earrings, rings, and other ornamental accessories that complement and accentuate personal style, expressing individuality and enhancing the overall look.
- Travel Accessories
The Travel Accessories category comprises items designed to enhance convenience and style during travel. It includes travel bags, luggage, passport holders, travel wallets, toiletry organizers, and other accessories that offer practical solutions for organized and stylish journeys.
Deadlines & Fees
IDA invite architects, builders, engineers and design teams to submit their projects of conceptual, in-progress or completed work.
Winners are chosen based on one project submitted; and not for a body of work.

There are no further fees for certificate, trophy, inclusion in publication and the winners’ services.
* Multiple entries must be paid at the same time as your first entry in order to be counted as “additional entries”. An entry paid at a later time will be counted as a “first entry”.
** You may submit an entry into multiple categories at the same time but must be in the same disciplines. The first Category will be charged as per the original submission fee. Additional categories (2 or more) will be charged at 50% in the same discipline.
Work submitted must have been created within the last 5 years.
FASHION DESIGN OF THE YEAR, PROFESSIONAL
The fashion design of the year winner will receive publication of his/her work in the International Design Awards Book of Designs, to be distributed to museum bookstores internationally; promotion in a newsletter to 100,000 design professionals and potential clients worldwide; year-long coverage on the International Design Awards website; and critical acclaim by our distinguished panel of judges. He/she will also receive the IDA certificate of achievements and winners seal to use it online announcing his/her winning, along with a personalized press release and the IDA awards winning stainless steel trophy.
EMERGING FASHION DESIGNER OF THE YEAR, STUDENT
This award will be awarded to a student who has demonstrated devotion to elevating the art of graphic design. He/she will receive publication of his/her work in the IDA Book of Designs, to be distributed to museum bookstores nationwide; promotion in a newsletter to 100,000 design professionals and potential clients worldwide; year-long coverage on the International Design Awards website; and critical acclaim by our distinguishes panel of judges
Prizes and Promotions
The Winner of the Fashion Design of the Year Award will receive the coveted IDA trophy and be highlighted on the main page of the IDA website and published in all our social media platforms throughout the coming year.
Along with all the sub-category winners, they will also receive a Winner Certificate, Winner Seal, and a personalised press release to use for promotional purposes. All the winning designs will also be featured in the Annual IDA Book of Design.
Our winners will receive extensive publicity all throughout the following year, showcasing their designs to a worldwide audience. They will be promoted on the IDA website in the Winners Gallery and in IDA Newsletters sent out to 100,000 design industry professionals and potential clients.

SUBMISSION IS ONLINE AND IS COMPLETED IN 4 SIMPLE STEPS:
1. Click “submit” to create a free membership and password. If you are already a member, log in.
2. Fill in the simple online submission form–remember you can select multiple categories for each entry.
3. Upload the images for your entry. (Repeat the first 3 steps if you have multiple entries.
4. The final step is to pay your submission fees.
Up to 10 images (JPG/PDF) can be submitted per entry—The first 5 images should be JPG files. The remaining 5 images can be JPG or PDF. Size for JPG files: 1000 pixels on the longest side, maximum file size 4 MB. Size for PDF files: Please save as “screen view” and limit it to only 6 pages per file, Max 4 MB.
Entries should include as much detail as possible, including images of each side of the garment or collection. You can include patterns showing the construction of the garment.
Where the project is a group of buildings, entrants should provide a rendering that illustrates the complete project. If the entry concerns an alteration or restoration, please include both “before” and “after” images.
Entries can be submitted as completed, in-process, or conceptual works. Projects completed more than 5 years before the time of submission are not eligible.
Description of the project should be limited to 600 characters or less.
Projects will not be judged until payments have been received.
