Entry Description

The Avery includes three buildings, the two podium buildings are designed by Fougeron Architecture and the tower is designed by OMA. The affordable housing units in the podium buildings maintain an urban gesture to the neighborhood and open the site to the public. Introducing a mid-block passage between parallel streets activates the interior open space and creates a paseo for both the Avery residents and neighbors alike. The open space, or urban living room, is surrounded by retail shops, residential lobbies, and a resident community room serving the affordable housing population.
