"Unraveling a Kaleidoscope" is a collection of hand-manipulated textiles made from second-hand fabrics, collected from different people and places, that encourage personal and sensory interaction. Living between cultures, I hope to materialize my experiences as a woman of color and highlight the vibrant
and diverse lives of migrant people of color. These textiles offer an alternative abstract aesthetic that evokes our kaleidoscopic social fabric. I approach craft and making as mindful inquiry to find healing from nostalgia and longing.
