One in five European adults has difficulties reading and writing. Stichting Lezen en Schrijven’s mission is to prevent and reduce literacy difficulties in the Netherlands and in Europe. We were asked to revitalize their brand identity, with the task of increasing accessibility and recognizability for a wide audience. The basis for the concept were illustrations, constructed in an iconic style with geometric shapes and strict color palette. The illustrations act as an aid for those who can’t read the text. This also applies to the logo, with the eye and pencil symbolizing ‘reading and writing’.
Progress in the world has shifted up a gear. Demanding real action from us all. Therefore, we only have time for the brands that are relevant to us.
