The artist's background and experience in both industrial design and jewelry, facing the
never ending debate on the value of craft vs. industry, led her to create a collection
about the contrast and duality.
By juxtaposing both industrial materials like concrete and steel, and natural materials
and gemstones, as well as imperfect handmade texture versus perfect polished surfaces, she
highlights the conflict between the nature and industry, handmade and machine-made, soft
and hard, neutral and colorful, etc...
She believes in reconciliation and appreciates the beauty, values and shared history of
both sides.
