Entry Description

The Lantern in the Paddy Field is a striking 23-meter-high observation tower in Miaohouzhou village, Ningbo. As the centerpiece of the national high-standard farmland, it is inspired by the abstract representation of mature rice spikes. The tower spirals up from the fields like a sculpture, with triangular elements and white membranes defining its clean design. This project enhances the rural landscape and fosters community interaction between visitors and local residents. It bridges urban-rural divides, promotes sustainability, and boosts local tourism and economic development.
