IDA 2024 NOW OPEN -- Early Bird Deadline May 30, 2024
This A&A project turned an existing family home into a grand and luxurious dwelling. To add structure to an opulent decor theme that can easily become a design cliche, I developed a graphic motif inspired by Roman art. This interlinking pattern recurs throughout the home’s common areas, giving the spaces a stately grandeur. Expensive and often exotic materials clad every surface of the home, but there is a formula to the madness. Shine is key, and it is provided by a consistent application of polished marble surfaces, high-gloss wood finishes and gold-coloured metal highlights.
