There was limited light source and cozy space around the house, thus we have removed the original RC staircase and installed an open stair with timber treads and steel structure. The natural sunlight shines through the windows that are located upstairs, and transmit through the glass walkway and the open staircase to the bottom floor to create a warm enjoyable environment.
The material and color coding were based on neuter texture. We make use of different color furniture, as well as the owners own collection of colorful cast iron woks to elaborate the simple, lively and relaxing atmosphere.
