For the design of the first standalone Okapi store, we wanted to ensure that this luxury line of artisanal South African-made handbags would be showcased in an environment that captured the brand’s passion. To reflect the quality aesthetic and finish of the product, we paired clean lines and bold shapes with rich materials. The result is a timeless interior that echoes the anti-trend nature of the brand. We were inspired by the clients love of Art Deco and paired this with linen upholstered walls that form a neutral mat backdrop to the beautiful hand crafted leather bags.
