Entry Description

Inspired by Jekyll and Hyde, this work interprets the duality of human nature through the lens of Seongak-seol (性惡說, the doctrine that humans are inherently evil). In modern society, people hide their desires and hypocrisy behind the mask of morality, creating the illusion of virtue. Through the repeated processes of heating, cutting, and dyeing existing materials, the work deconstructs this artificial order and visualizes, through silhouette, the moment when suppressed evil breaks through its restraints—revealing the fragile boundary between morality and true human nature.
