Perched in the mountain village of Saas-Fee, Hotel Alpin invited Wedge to design custom furniture merging material research with hospitality. Each base is 3D printed in recyclable silica sand, paired with hardwood and glass. The forms echo alpine geology, translating pressure, layering, and erosion into structure. Within the warm interior, ridges and voids trace fabrication, shifting with daylight. The pieces embody circular production, as each sand base can return to powder and print again, forming a ecological cycle of renewal.
