The demand for long-term care services is increasing, yet the shortage of professional caregivers is becoming more severe. While professional caregivers are irreplaceable, lighter caregiving tasks, such as delivering items, sweeping, or routine check-ins, can be handled by robots. These types of robots are already widely used in restaurants for sending foods, or item delivery in hotels. With appropriate feedback systems and configurations, robots can effectively share the workload of caregivers, allowing them to focus their energy on caring for more patients or those with greater needs.
