IDA 2026 IS NOW OPEN - REGULAR DEADLINE: AUGUST 15
Inspired by an evolution of a personal story growing up in Mexico, this collection captures the essence of my childhood. My personal journey and my interests led me to design innovative silhouettes with delicate and intricate garment-making processes, utilizing French knots as the main construction detail. With the initial idea of using crochet techniques in the stages of concept development, I played with the illusion of crochet by creating my own lace-making technique, inspired by Remedios Varo and Leonora Carrington's eerie and mysterious surrealist paintings.
