The Beaufort County Public Library Literacy Annex transforms a historic 13,000-square-foot building into a four-level hub dedicated to learning, connection, and growth. Its design weaves together flexible community spaces, immersive storytelling environments, technology-rich learning tools, and playful areas that inspire discovery for all ages. Grounded in adaptive reuse and human-centered design, the project illustrates how architecture can advance literacy, strengthen resilience, and empower rural communities.
