The San Diego Freaner Design Museum showcases the essence of graphic design history while honoring local designers and their contributions. The museum’s logo and brand reflect a celebration of creativity and innovation, embodying the rich narratives of graphic design. Inspired by Kandinsky’s theory of point to line to plane, as well as Bruno Munari’s geometric concepts of Circle, Square, and Triangle, the logo is a testament to the foundational elements of design. This space will invite visitors to explore the dynamic evolution of graphic design and the artists who have shaped its landscape.
Ariel Freaner is the principal and founder of Freaner Creative & Design, with over 35 years of experience in creative development, illustration, and design. His award-winning, San Diego-based full-service firm offers creative, digital, and graphic design services to clients in North America, Latin America, and abroad. It specializes in web and app design, editorial and print design, brand development, online marketing, and 3-D development. Freaner Creative recently received several Graphis Awards, including platinum, gold, and silver, as well as two Emmy awards and four Emmy nominations.
