Peregrina is from a design brief for an innovative c.1905 suffragette suit for historic reenactment. Innovations include a kit-of-parts, ala “tailor-mades” approach combined with making the suit and jabot reversible and from upcycled/vintage materials. Includes Edwardian slip, silk shirtwaist and reticules. Design combines Edwardian-era silhouette with Aesthetic-style construction via dolman sleeve and wrap front jacket. The skirt employs front and back nautical-style bib panels and is fastened at waist with hooks & eyes internally, and knotted soutache double loops over Anchor motif buttons.
