Rooted in Patterns’ vision of contemporary Balinese design, Karma Candidasa is a cascading retreat on Bali’s eastern coast, nestled between Mount Agung and the sea. The project translates the island’s volcanic terrain into terraced architectural form, transforming local materials—volcanic stone, Balinese tiles, and native woods—through a refined contemporary approach. Comprising 60 keys, its anchored by a central terraced pool and social space, the design shifts between panoramic openness and secluded courtyards, immersing guests in a dialogue between natural landscape and architecture.
