Entry Description

In 2025, illiteracy among the visually impaired is rising while libraries for them decline. Public libraries and bookstores offer few accessible materials, leaving many excluded from knowledge. To solve this, we propose ROOK, a public braille reading display. Installed in shared spaces, ROOK contains six braille modules with built-in books, allowing instant reading without searching for special materials. Simple controls let users flip braille pages, enabling both disabled and non-disabled readers to share the same experience.
