Entry Description

The project is located in Pengzhou's historic old town and revitalizes the area by integrating commercial and cultural spaces—retail, dining, hotel, art gallery, library, exhibition hall, civic center, and urban plaza. Drawing from traditional Chinese urban imagery, the design centers on a temple, with a museum to the north, plaza to the south, green space east, and water feature west. Sloped roofs, aerial walkways, and traditional forms evoke local memory. Layered landscapes and preserved historic streets create a human-scaled, modern reinterpretation of traditional space.
