A traveling immersive exhibition about music in the Barbican’s iconic spaces. We explored acoustic panels as sculptural, space-making elements connecting all sites. One idea. Simple forms. Words, light, sound became spatial identity and wayfinding. Artistic and functional, bold black-and-white design choreographed these elements to evoke the intangible, spiritual nature of music, its dynamism and sensoriality, while bringing flexibility and travelability to the spatial and experiential programme. “Resonance,” the name we proposed, reflects the lasting impact and universal inclusivity of music.
