A multigenerational home in Melbourne’s Kew, designed to adapt and sustain. Passive solar strategies, cross-ventilation, and rainwater harvesting further enhance the home’s efficiency and minimise environmental impact. Evolving with different lifespans, a central core anchors the design, linking two wings, one for private living and the other for communal spaces. Interstitial portals and a restrained, framing material palette allow porosity between built-natural, inside-outside. Furthered by customised mushroom profile columns and external curved walls poured on site for flow and movement.
As an award-winning architecture and interior design studio based predominately in Melbourne, we work across a diverse range of typologies and scales, with extensive experience in bespoke residential, multi-residential, and commercial projects.
Our studio specialises in navigating the complexities of heritage architecture, designing for multi-generational living, and providing strategic input during the town planning stages of development. This allows us to deliver tailored, responsive solutions that respect context, enhance liveability, and support long-term value.
