Situated within the UNESCO area of Macau, this project aims to make a positive contribution to the city life as a cultural and commercial landmark that draws cues from Macau’s heritage. M8 welcomes visitors through its sculptural entrance. On the rooftop garden, visitors can enjoy the magnificent view of Macau’s local streets and participate in various cultural events.
The building’s form responds to its urban context, weaving together historical streets and laneways, while nodding to Portuguese and Chinese architectural traditions. Recycled materials have been incorporated into its designs.
