Entry Description

Nemag, an international leader in the design and construction of four-rope mechanical grabs and rope connection systems, celebrates its 100th anniversary with a book. The concept reflects the company’s position, which is significantly different from many years before. That is why the book distinguishes between the current company and what came before. For example, the Now section outlines the company of today and the Then section where Nemag comes from. By folding the entire cover, one can choose one book or the other: Now and Then. Together they are Nemag.

Bio

Besides being a graphic designer, Dorothee Pape is primarily a design strategist. For each assignment, she immerses herself in the client and the question in great depth: through workshops, qualitative research and desk research. The vision is developed first, then the strategy and only then the design. Usually, the medium is also devised, from house style to book to film.
In addition to her studio in Amsterdam, Dorothee also has a branch in Germany. She gives guest lectures at various educational institutions.
