Entry Description

The design aims to create an experiential conference and event facility at top floor inside an office building of industrial dimensions at the Port Terminals in HK. A Pre-Function area is created as connection hub, at where all functional components are strategically positioned around and each room enjoys best daylight & key views.

Emphasis is put on the connectivity between spaces, to give flexibility in varied needs for conferences, board meetings and seasonal events. Careful attention is put on rich materiality & streamline details with tasteful furniture for cohesive experiences.

Bio

Inspired and fascinated by the dynamic growth of Asian cities, MAIA | MAI Atelier is a research-oriented design studio, aimed to re-discover new socio-cultural possibilities pivotal to the built environment of future cities.

Awards and Prize

MAIA | MAI Atelier have been widely awarded in recent years and received the Los Angeles IDA awards, the Japan Good Design Award and A&D Trophy Award by Perspective for Best of Institution in Hong Kong & China.
