IDA 2025 IS NOW OPEN FOR SUBMISSIONS!
We designed a Christmas tree and wreath for the Shiseido Ginza Building, inspired by the traditional Japanese craft of the "Wagasa" umbrella. The design highlights the bamboo frame and decorative threads, typically visible only to the user inside, showcasing a unique beauty beyond its functionality. Wagasa is a sustainable product, repairable and reusable over time. After the display, its components were donated to a craftsman, ensuring they will be transformed into new umbrellas for semi-permanent use, reflecting the aesthetics of traditional Japanese craftsmanship and sustainability.
