Entry Description

This project is located in Inca, Mallorca (Balearic Islands) and consists of 54 social housing and parking on an Administration-owned rectangular-shaped plot of 3,266 m2 area. Resolves two fundamental aspects: the correct insertion of the building into the urban and physical environment and syntheses the functional aspects of the program. It’s a building developed from the local economy model, passive strategies and naturally healthy materials with practically zero consumption (0.64 kWh/m2/year).

Bio

Joan j Fortuny Arquitectes was created in 2010 by Joan
Fortuny in Barcelona, on the 2016, Its opened in Palma,
Mallorca (Balearic Islands) .Nowadays the studio its formed by
a multidisciplinary team that combines the work on different
architecture and urban developing fields on public
competitions and private development.
The aim of the studio it’s the believe on an architecture
developed from a local economy and tradition model focused
on the sustainable building research for decarbonization on
construction , proximity and nearly zero consumption and the
development at the circularity field
