The refurbishment concept developed by SSP won over the competition with its ability to optimize refurbishment during ongoing operations. The new façade design in Bielefeld's city center blends harmoniously into the city skyline and respects existing landmarks. Existing buildings will not be reshaped, but their design will be refined, strengthening the visual identity of the 1965 building - formerly with a white tiled façade. The minimalist design and the choice of a white aluminum skin convey precision and purity, while the albedo effect improves the energy balance.
