China is a major grower and consumer of soybeans, with farms piling up 36 million tonnes of stalks in 2022. The processing chain then generates another 44 million tonnes of soybean residue. These wastes are rich in fibre and other useful substances, yet they are incinerated, landfilled, etc., resulting in wasted resources and pollution. Through material design, I am promoting sustainable communication in the community by transforming waste materials into sustainable products "from low value to new value" and building a material recycling system.
