HOOV is a concept shoe that addresses elderly users’ fear of falling, prioritizing stability, ease of use, and style. Aging individuals face mobility issues, often worsened by unsuitable footwear. I included the Boa system, combining lace security with Velcro’s ease for a snug, safe fit. The shoe’s rounded, soft tread offers grip without snagging on carpets, enhancing stability. A wide, low-profile sole adds balance, while a chic design with leather panels empowers users, providing safety without sacrificing style.
