IDA 2024 NOW OPEN -- Regular Deadline October 31, 2024
As an environmental awareness project, TIDAL GAUGE invites the community of Thunderbolt and the greater Savannah area to foster a greater appreciation for the marsh environment by providing a dynamic architectural experience. The architecture passively receives elements that are out of our control. The structure allows for occupants to visibly experience the rise and fall of the tides from within the building. It also respects the vernacular of the area by blending into the context at the entrance and expanding its visibility towards the river.
