Sober Harmony tells two stories simultaneously: Bruno Munari’s design principles from his “Design as Art” essay and Italo Calvino’s descriptions of Venice from his book Invisible Cities. The wood covers and hanging thread invite you to interact with the form. Each layout explores the conversation between these two narratives and the connection between the design and form of the book.
