A proposal for a food court of the Sansusī Music Festival. Inspired by the lush forest of the site, the design aims to establish a seamless and interactive relationship with its surroundings, offering a relaxing gathering experience.
The layering technique of traditional Latvian costumes drived the form, as an experiment to establish cultural identities for the event. The weave-like veiling ETFE roof creates a light-touch shelter for the space. Glulams were used as the main supporting structure to reduce carbon footprint, strengthening the connection towards the natural context.
