SUNGHYE PARK 23FW collection “The Pineal Gland” collection was inspired by focusing on the fundamental part of our brain that contains instinct and sensuality, especially the pineal gland, a small endocrine organ in the brain. As humans age, this brain part become calcified, and in today's society, repeated exposure to brief media stimuli artificially accelerates degeneration, dulling human senses. Ironically, man-made stimuli desensitize us to those same stimuli. Explores the paradoxes and justifications of the desire to restore a damaged pineal gland.
