Entry Description

The poster manages to promote the book release of “Coleção Caramelo” and owes its success to the fact that it pays tribute both to the institution’s established imagery and to the community that moves up and down and casually meets at the building’s ramps on a daily basis. The ramps are the main image while being at the huge atrium. The poster derives from the logotype brand. The identity also suggests a collage of piles of open books or the sewing of the sheets of paper to a book spine. The design provides a contemporary image for a long living Brazilian institution.

Bio

PhD candidate (2020-) in cotutelle from University of São Paulo (FAUUSP) and the École des Hautes Études in Sciences Sociales (EHESS-Paris). Master (2019) in History and Fundamentals of Architecture and Urbanism from FAUUSP. Architect and Urban Planner (2014) from the same institution. Works on practice in architecture, design and arts. Received several awards, among them by USP, by the Institute of Architects of Brazil, Latin America Design Award and DNA Paris.
