Entry Description

Waylet is a wearable haptic navigation device developed in collaboration with Toyota Central R&D Labs. It provides the user with the unique experience of a haptic guidance system that “pulls” the user as opposed to the visual guidance associated with navigation systems. It provides orientation information through traction generated by the wristband, naturally guiding the user while simultaneously facilitating the user’s appreciation of their surroundings. In addition, it can also sense nearby events and location information of friends and family, adding the excitement of spontaneity to a walk.
