IDA 2025 IS NOW OPEN FOR SUBMISSIONS!
The project breathes new life into an abandoned building still in ruin, the Sevyan Cultural Center, built in 1926. A primary objective is to strengthen Armenia's cultural dialogue with the global art scene by providing its cultural capital with an innovative and multidisciplinary school. The site becomes a node of physical and social connection through the urban fabric and between people, across borders and cultures. To maintain a link between old and new, a parametrically designed geometric volume that houses a performance hall for 500 people is inserted inside the preserved stone facade.
