This project is a book cover redesign of an existing book titled: "Building Taliesin: Frank Lloyd Wright’s Home of Love and Loss", by Ron McCrea. The brief was to search for an existing book about a place, a structure, or a building, and re-design its cover with a focus on contemporary applications of
letterform, and the relationship between type and image to create meaning. Taliesin I's architecture is very organic, because of the gentle slopes of the roofs, the broad overhangs, and the strong chimney masses. I portrayed this aspect of the structure by choosing an extendable typeface.
