Alcohol and its drinking culture have always played a significant role in Chinese history.
The brand was founded in Maotai Town in 1929, designer incorporates the liquor-making culture into the space. "Jiuqu" (starter) is taken from the most important link in the liquor-making process. Rough stones, old bronze, bamboo-woven curtain… all these materials with different characters join in the conversation of the space.
We try to bring back and show the original properties and handmade quality of the raw materials, which also strengthen the liquor-cellar atmosphere.
