The human body is crucial to how we understand components of identity such as gender, sexuality, race, and ethnicity. Artists manipulated their bodies in varied ways, such as mutilating, dismembering, detaching or distorting, to rebel against social conventions or raise questions. Between bodies is a hypothetic exhibition explores the relationships between body and identities through rebellious practices from 8 surrealists with various identities, aiming to bring different perspective and deeper understandings of body, identity and social construct.
