Package design inspired by space traveling. The purpose of the piece is to house three genuine gifts: two books and a golden steel Astrolabe. The spine of the piece opens to reveal the Astrolabe accompanied by a set of cards inspired from the Book of Fixed Stars.
The exposed sides of the slipcases are engraved with the books titles. They slide out from a red dot (Mars). When the slipcases face together they create a parabolic curve depicting a spaceship piercing the atmosphere.
Books are held in place by a black circular magnet.
Materials: aluminum, brass, magnets and vinyl prints.
