The basic idea comes from a simple composition of a block and fine profile. The design was further developed into a solid base of terrazzo with slots in which a sleek lighting profile can be set up in different positions, depending on the use or the arrangement. Due to the interaction of the monumental base and the interplay of lines of the slots with the lighting profile, the object behaves like a light sculpture. With its minimalist design, the lighting object has a timeless design, easy to use with the application of circular materials in an environmentally friendly production process.
Jan Goderis was born in 1966, Ghent, Belgium. He graduated from Interior Design at St-Lucas, Art and Architecture college in Ghent, Belgium. During his professional career, he continues to extend the boundaries in designing interior architecture, furniture, lightning and objects. The continuous learning and developing of skills are what drive Jan onwards in his career. Coupled with the 25 years of experience, there is a unlimited pursuit and challenge to design furniture, lighting and objects.
