Entry Description

What is innovation in fashion? Where does function meet form?

Embrago disrupts traditional fashion design, blurring categories with an innovative hybrid crossover line of bra-free clothing. Combining elements of intimates, loungewear, and ready-to-wear, the designs offer support, shape, and style, without a bra.

Embrago considers clothing’s relationship to our identity and dignity. Rather than subjugating the body to the clothes (using curve-constricting bras), Embrago makes clothes that fit the body’s forma natura, with compassion for curves.

Organic cotton and smart textiles, no hardware.

Bio

Embrago’s core values are compassion, functionality, comfort, and style. All designs are engineered to last and made entirely from soft material (organic cotton and smart textiles) without using any hardware, elastic, hooks, wires, bands, plastic or foam. The clothing itself does the work of providing support and shape, creating a new hybridized concept of dressing that bypasses predefined categories of style. The result is apparel designed to embrace a woman’s curves and complement them, so that each woman presents her personal style and unique affect via the sleek, minimalist palette.
