The Malay Heritage Centre, a heritage institution for the Malay community in Singapore, publishes this brochure to showcase the its upcoming exhibits, programmes and activities for the quarter. For this 2019 series of brochures, we conceptualised a design that echoes the Centre’s philosophy of “honouring the past while providing a means for present-day expression”. Our inspiration came from classic motifs found in Malaysian art and decorative elements. We presented these motifs in a more contemporary art style to balance the idea of past and present.
