Designing Lightness

This publication provides a renewed view on lightness and how the world might benefit from it. Lightness concerns saving energy through weight reduction of just about everything, by rethinking structures with a sophisticated composite approach. The book cross references disciplines, regions and eras. Not only is this message transferred in the content of the book written by Ed van Hinte and Adriaan Beukers, it is also clearly visualized through the design by Studio Renate Boere.

Studio Renate Boere is a design studio that explores the latest graphic design practices. We like to work with students, artists, companies, agencies and governments on innovative products.

We develop and invent, apart from classical graphic design activities, interactive installations, hybrid publishing and self-initiated innovative products. Research into new channels to create visibility for these innovative products is an important part of our work.
