Entry Description

Our brief was to create a distinctly Māori visitors experience, starting with a modern interpretation of a Māori palisade. A physical model of Mt Eden triggers an AR experience, taking visitors back 28,000 years to the first eruption. A second experience depicts daily life 300 years ago & a third explores recent European history.

A theatre room plays an epic drone video showcasing the majesty of Auckland’s many volcanoes. A variety of other storytelling display panels complete the bilingual experience. The overall look was inspired by My Eden’s volcanic rock, lava & its rolling hills.
