Inspired by the herbal medicine resources of Maoshan, plant species of the Compendium of Materia Medica was used as the concept of the signage system, where the illustration of different plant species were incorporated delicate Chinese paper-cuts technique.
We cleverly bring the forest into the lobby space by applying a silhouetted tree pattern to the full ceiling. In this “indoor forest”, we also show the change of seasons and the changes of time with dynamic light effects.
In the guest tower area, each floor has its own designated plant theme to create a unique experience.
