Entry Description

Inspired by off-the-grid communities, loo is an anaerobic digestion system that can adapt for use in commercial or residential use. Through the composting process of anaerobic digestion, the loo system takes the users waste and breaks it down into two main parts. These two byproducts are a bio-gas and a nutrient rich slurry. The gas can be filtered into methane, and transferred into a storage tank where it can later be used for things like power production, heating or to cook food. The slurry that is left, can be emptied out and used as fertilizer.
